GLCCA Kicks Off First-Ever Touch Base Campaign

The Great Lakes Credit and Collection Association is excited to launch their inaugural Touchbase Campaign.  The goal of this new effort is to connect GLCCA members with GLCCA board members and volunteers to help bring awareness to the resources and connections available to members through both GLCCA and ACA International.

GLCCA Board Member Chris Becker has been leading the charge to get the Touchbase Campaign off the ground.  He says the idea for the campaign originated through strategic planning work during the 2019-2020 term, which put the focus on being able to deliver more value to the GLCCA membership.  “From there, it was a natural progression to begin reinforcing existing relationships and building new ones amongst membership to open those channels and better understand how to direct our efforts and provide that value,” Becker states.

The basis of the campaign is fairly simple.  Over the next few months, GLCCA volunteers will begin contacting members to schedule a 15-minute call.  The goal of the call is to build a network within the GLCCA community, inform members of upcoming GLCCA initiatives and events, and connect members with GLCCA resources that can help their business.

Becker says that he hopes members gain a better understanding of the resource that GLCCA and its membership can be for their success, and use it as a tool to grow their business and better serve their clients and consumers.  “GLCCA is fortunate to have a membership that excels at solving problems and building bridges between clients and their consumers.  We are really working to leverage our membership’s skillset in a collaborative way to advance their business and the industry as a whole.”

While of course the board set some quantitative goals for the campaign around increased connection percentages and conference attendance, Becker adds, “For me, success for this campaign means having GLCCA members engage with one another to solve a problem, gain insight, or build a friendship, because that is the value that GLCCA membership can provide and we are working hard to create those connections and provide those resources.“

GLCCA hopes members will take advantage of this campaign and spend a few minutes to strengthen their connection with GLCCA and its mission.

Chris Becker is Chief Operating Officer of CU Recovery and The Loan Service Center in Wyoming, Minnesota.
