Making the Industry Better for the Long Haul

It’s not easy to find a good leader who is willing to take the helm and guide the ship even during times of transition or uncertainty. Tim Haag was just that leader for GLCCA during his 2018-19 term as the organization’s President.

During his tenure, Tim undertook numerous responsibilities in an effort to guide GLCCA towards the next steps in our young organization’s tenure. One of the most daunting of these tasks was taking the lead in the transition from our previous management company to the team at ACA. This transition served as the first of its kind arrangement with ACA and an example to other units for doing the same. The transition gave our unit members access to the depth of knowledge and resources available through ACA and positioned us to play a big part in current and future industry decisions.

While Tim is no longer in his role as President, we are thankful that we will still benefit from his expertise on the board as a Past-President. In this role, he continues to advocate for and be the voice of the GLCCA membership, while providing counsel to our current President and guidance to the board as a whole.

When he was interviewed two years ago regarding his position as the GLCCA President, Tim stated, “I am committed to this industry for the long haul. I want it to succeed for the benefit of everyone. My goal over the next three years is to continue positioning our members for success despite increasing regulations and compliance issues and decreasing resources. I know what this industry is about and my goal is to make it even better.” We believe that he has done just that as he served GLCCA as President, and we know that he will continue to do whatever it takes to make our industry even better for the long haul. Thank you, Tim!
