Get to Know GLCCA Board Member Megan Manis

One only needs to take a quick glance at the path that led GLCCA board member Megan Manis to her role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ROYDAN Enterprises to understand that she was born to be a marketing professional. From consumer products to B2B, her marketing experience runs the gamut. This is experience is what she feels so privileged to share with the GLCCA.

On board since May 2017, Megan is thrilled to serve the GLCCA membership. “I was delighted to be nominated and assigned to the marketing and PR committee for GLCCA. I am so happy that I can use my areas of expertise to elevate member communications and bring attention to the immense value they receive from their participation within the association,” Manis notes.

In addition to giving attention to an area of the association that has not been a top priority in the past, Manis’ membership also serves as a new venture between State level associations (now combined as GLCCA) and vendors. “Roydan was always a big supporter of the Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois Collectors Associations. When GLCCA was formed, being involved was a logical next step,” says Manis.

Her unique perspective as both a vendor and marketing professional allows Megan to bring more value to the board and association members. “As part of the GLCCA, I take a step back from my vendor role and see the industry through the eyes of the agency. Viewing the industry from this level allows me to really understand what collection agencies, my valued customers, are facing on a daily basis so that I can advocate for them on a larger scale.”

Manis believes that members need to understand the true value of the GLCCA. “It is so much more than an annual gathering. The GLCCA helps agencies broaden their resources and connects them with other agencies so that they are not alone. This allows them to share innovative ideas and develop growth strategies in a world of ever-changing legislation. Involvement in the GLCCA allows agencies to be out in front of those changes so that they can protect their businesses.”

In her role on the marketing and PR committee, Megan ensures that members receive the most up-to-date information on both association and industry news. She informs members about quarterly webinar opportunities offered by the board and helps the association create a voice on social media as well as their website. “In the end, I want members to know what we have to offer and get to know the association and the board better.”

When Megan is not managing the GLCCA’s communication program or at the helm of Sales and Marketing for Roydan, she is a busy mom on the go. “My family is of the utmost importance to me, and my days and weeks are never the same. One day I might be at the gym for a gymnastics class, while another day you might find me helping out at a school event or poolside for a swimming lesson.” When she can get away, Megan enjoys relaxing and soaking in every moment with her family on warm summer weekends at their lake cottage.
